Not the most challenging walk you will ever do, the La La Falls walk in Warburton is a 3.5km track that climbs gently to the falls.
At the base of the track is a reasonably sized car park with your usual information board about the hike itself and its surroundings.
There is nothing overly difficult about this track and, as witnessed while there, it’s suitable for children and really anyone who is keen for a day walk.
As someone who really loves the challenge of a long-distance or difficult hike, I think there is something really nice about this track that almost forces you to go at a slower pace.
The La La Falls walk is a well-signed, well-formed, easy-to-follow track and has a stunning waterfall at the end.
Now, the waterfall isn’t like the ones you’ll find down at the Otways or at Marysville, but it’s nice to look at and relax in front of.
And for all you outdoor photographers out there, this would be a perfect spot to take a million photos or two.
Once you’re done, be sure to head back into town to have a coffee and something to eat at one of the cafes. The Three Sugars Cafe is a favourite of mine.
In closing, the La La Falls walk is a hike I would recommend for any beginner hiker or anyone who just wants to go for a casual walk on the weekend.
It’s ideally located from the main road where all the cafes, bakeries, and accommodation are but far away enough that wouldn’t realise they were nearby.
In short, it really is the perfect short-day hike.
As always, if you want to take a look at the track I recorded, and what you’re in for, please take a look here via my WikiLoc account.
